Sticking it to The Man
got the train to Preston last night for my mate Som's birthday celebration - on the way there I didnt get asked by the conductor to pay for a ticket, even though the passengers around me did. then with the return journey being around midnight, the guard didnt dare poke his head out of his compartment and so again wasnt asked to supply a fare. result!then this afternoon in tesco's I got handed the wrong change - which means I made three quid on the evil empire that is Tesco.how have YOU stuck it to The Man lately?

Well – I’m not going to say anything beyond the subject of ‘celebrity’ big brother except to point out this GEM brought to light by the bbc in one of their reports on their website – a quote from The Sun (quality British journalism at it’s very finest) –
‘On Saturday, The Sun newspaper's editorial said Goody's previous image was "a meticulously manufactured lie". She had shown herself to be "a vile, pig-ignorant, racist bully consumed by envy", it continued. Writing a column in the same paper, TV presenter Lorraine Kelly said she hoped Goody would "now disappear into obscurity". "There really has to be an end to the celebration of stupidity and ignorance", she wrote. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6283447.stm
Now I harbour no grudges against ms. Kelly, but excuse me – WHO is it you write for again? If the Sun stopped celebrating stupidity and ignorance I doubt you’d be left with enough paper to wipe your backside with after a heavy curry. And if the delightful ms. Goody’s image is a lie, then surely The Sun (in part at the very least) has been complicit in it’s manufacture?
Normal service of this blog will be resumed when the author stops alternately pissing himself laughing at the hypocrisy of The Sun and the stupidity of it’s readers, and frothing at the mouth at the sheer cheek of it and the gullibility of a large section of the British public . The twats.

oh, and this - http://www.disappointment.com/wordpress/archives/176 has got to be the most succinct reason yet why that hack russell t davies shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a bbc budget again. and as for the way he's seemingly anointed himself the keeper of the flame when it comes to Dr Who is absolute cock custard. his scripts are invariably the worst kind of formulaic pish, with plots that can be seen coming a mile off and conclusions only slightly more obvious. the tosser.

So, I’m moving my blog over here from live journal as I prefer the look of this place.
My old blog was here - http://thomas-newton.livejournal.com/ but now, this is my home for the time being.
Watched ‘The Trial Of Tony Blair’ tonight on more 4 – quite entertaining, and something I wish (but don’t hold much hope of seeing) will come to pass when he finally leaves office. (although the talk of all the civil suits to face the shaved chimp once he hasn’t got the office of the president to hide behind are heartening).
soundtrack - Red Dwarf IV dvd
beverage - Galaxy hot chocolate
